Astronomers have found extraterrestrial galaxies that appear as bright, reddish objects.

By examining data obtained by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, they discovered 56 “ultra-red flattened objects” that had remained undetected by earlier telescopes.

The extraterrestrial galaxies were probably obscured by thick veils of cosmic dust.

However, the cutting-edge technology of the James Webb Telescope, with its capability to detect infrared light, has enabled scientists to capture images of these disks situated in the outermost regions of space.

According to a recent finding from the University of Colorado, researchers identified galaxies that resemble the Milky Way but are notably “dustier”.

Lead author Justus Gibson stated, “The James Webb Space Telescope allows us to observe this type of galaxy that we would not have been able to observe previously.’ We previously believed that within our vicinity, we had a solid grasp of the various galaxy types,’ Gibson noted. It indicates that perhaps our understanding of the universe was not as comprehensive as we thought.”
